Looking for a way to beat the heat while getting some exercise? One of my absolute favorite kid’s activities for summer is Super Soaker Tag! This exciting twist on regular tag keeps kids cool while they run and play.
Instead of using hands to tag each other, players use super soakers. It’s twice the fun and perfect for hot summer days!
How to Play
Start by giving each player a super soaker filled with water. Make sure everyone knows how to use their super soaker properly.
Choose one player to be “it” first. This player will try to spray other players with their super soaker.
When a player gets sprayed, they become the new “it” and the chase continues. The game keeps moving as different players take turns being “it.”
Setting Up the Game
Before starting, set boundaries in your yard or playground area. This keeps the game contained and makes sure everyone stays within spraying distance.
You might want to create “safe zones” where players can’t be tagged for a short time. This gives kids a chance to catch their breath throughout the game.
Tips for Success
Make sure everyone fills their super soakers before the game starts. Having a central filling station with a bucket or hose helps keep the game moving.
On really hot days, being “it” can actually be fun since you get to cool off other players! Some kids might even want to get sprayed on purpose.
This game can keep kids entertained for hours while ensuring they stay cool. Just be prepared for everyone to get wet – that’s part of the fun!
